OAKCHURCH FARM

Oakchurch started as a ‘pick your own’ strawberry farm in the 1970’s; though we are still family-owned, we provide much more than our strawberries.

Herefordian born and bred Edward and Ros Price started Oakchurch Farm Shop from a little wooden shed on the side of the road in 1970. It was the outlet for their pick-your-own strawberry fields and the fresh produce that they were growing on the Oakchurch farm. Beef fattened on the farm was soon being sold at the shop, as well as other top quality local produce, leading to the need for bigger premises.

We now offer the best of Herefordshire food and drink producers. This is where we receive some of the best soft fruits that are produced in the UK, it also has a farm shop for the most discerning food lovers!

NETHEREND FARM BUTTER

Our family have farmed at Netherend since 1936. The farm's milk was originally sold to villagers who would bring a jug to fill up from the churn which we took around the village.

The business expanded rapidly in the 1990’s and we were soon selling milk and cream to retail doorstep rounds, shops and hotels. To make use of the surplus cream we purchased a small wooden butter churn and started selling hand packed butter pats. The butter proved very popular in local shops and was “discovered” by a London based dairy distributor whilst on holiday in the Wye Valley. We started to supply him and it was soon being used in some of Londons’ top hotels and restaurants.

If you haven’t tried it your missing out, features on many of our dishes and all our bread baskets for events.
